Data deletion instructions: bellette Social Publisher

Version 1.0 · Effective 29 October 2026 · Last updated 29 October 2026

Bellette Media Pty Ltd (ABN 34 089 989 417) ("bellette", "we", "us") uses bellette Social Publisher (the "tool"), an internal tool, to schedule and publish social media posts for its clients. This page explains how to ask us to delete information held in that tool, what we delete and when, and how to remove the tool's access yourself. It applies to information from Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Google Business Profile. Our privacy policy for the tool explains what the tool holds.

Who can ask

  • a client business, about its accounts, posts and media;
  • anyone who connected an account to the tool, about the information from that connection;
  • anyone who commented on a preview link, about their comments;
  • anyone who appears in content we hold for a client. We pass your request to that client, and unless the client has a lawful reason to keep the content, we remove it from the tool within 7 calendar days of the client's decision. If we can't, we tell you why and how to complain (see section 14 of our privacy policy);
  • current or former staff, about their own account.

How to ask

Email support@bellette.com.au with the subject "Data deletion request", and tell us:

  1. your name, and how you are connected (for example the client business's owner, a Page administrator, the person who connected the account, a commenter, or a staff member);
  2. the client business's name, if you know it;
  3. the platforms, and the names of the Pages, accounts, channels or locations, if you know them (or, for a preview comment, the display name you used and roughly when you commented);
  4. whether you want everything for that client deleted, or only particular accounts or items;
  5. whether you also want us to remove posts we have already published. We must do this before we disconnect the account.

For a request about a Page, account, channel or location, we check that you are authorised to act for it, for example that you are its owner or an administrator. It is free to ask.

When we do it

"Days" means calendar days unless we say business days.

  • We acknowledge your request within 1 business day, and tell you then if we need to confirm that you are authorised.
  • If your request covers a whole account: within 1 business day of receiving it (or, if we needed to check that you are authorised, of your confirmation), we disconnect the account and permanently delete its access and refresh tokens (including copies in error records), so the tool can no longer use it. For YouTube and Google Business Profile we also revoke the tool's access with Google, unless the same Google sign-in connects another account we manage.
  • We complete the deletion from the tool within 7 calendar days of receiving your request. If we needed to confirm that you are authorised and you reply after that, we complete it within 1 business day of your confirmation.
  • For a request from someone who appears in a client's content, the 7 days run from the client's decision, and we tell you if the client wants to keep the content.
  • We then email you to confirm what we deleted, when, and the date by which the last backup copy will have expired.

What we delete

If you ask about a single item, such as one preview comment, one photo or video you appear in, one post, or your own staff account, we delete just that item and its copies in our alerts, emails and tickets within the same 7 calendar days. We don't disconnect the client's account for this. The steps below are for a request about a whole account or client.

  1. Disconnect and revoke. We remove the account's connection from the tool. This doesn't change or delete the account on the platform. We overwrite the account's access and refresh tokens, including the copies in error records, and for YouTube and Google Business Profile we revoke the tool's access with Google unless the same Google sign-in connects another account we manage. Any posts still scheduled for it are cancelled and will not be published.
  2. Delete the stored information. We permanently delete, from the tool's database and file storage:
    • the account's IDs, name, display name, handle and picture, and the ID, access token and picture of the person who connected it;
    • its posts' text, titles, descriptions, settings and collaborator tags, and the platform's IDs and web addresses for its published posts;
    • the images, videos, cover images and thumbnails used only by those posts, with their file names and descriptions;
    • comments on its preview links, and the commenters' names;
    • error records, notifications and any automatic repost or follow-up comment settings about it.
  3. Check the scheduling engine. We end any scheduled jobs that remain for the account, and confirm that none are left. The scheduling engine's own records are deleted automatically within 7 days after each job ends.
  4. Delete internal copies. We delete the internal Slack alerts and drafts-channel messages, the alert and notification emails in bellette and HutSix mailboxes (including HutSix's support mailbox), the Jira and service-desk ticket comments, and any open monitoring alerts, that name the account or the commenter, apart from our record of your request.

Some media can be shared by several of a client's accounts. A file stays until every account that uses it has been deleted. Files that were uploaded but never used in a post aren't linked to an account. We delete them in our monthly clean-up once they are more than 30 days old, or sooner if your request identifies them.

What stays for a limited time

  • Encrypted backups: made nightly, and used only to recover from a failure and, in an isolated copy that is deleted the same day, to test that recovery, software upgrades and our deletion and reconnection procedures work. They cannot be read without keys that are never stored on the server, and no one uses them for anything else. Each copy stored off the server is deleted automatically within about 30 days of being made, and the 7 newest copies kept on the server itself are deleted as newer ones are made. So the last copy is gone within about 30 days of us completing your deletion. If we ever restore a backup, we repeat your deletion before the restored tool is used.
  • Disk snapshots taken before a software upgrade: deleted within 14 days.
  • Web server access logs, which record IP addresses and the addresses of pages visited, but no tokens: deleted within about 30 days.
  • Application logs, technical messages from the tool: deleted within about 30 days.
  • Operations logs, which identify items by ID only: deleted within about 30 days.
  • Our record of your request: your email and our reply, kept in our service desk so that we can show we handled it.
  • Records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices: kept for as long as the law requires. They don't include access tokens or information from the platforms.

Copies outside the tool

This page covers the tool. We also hold client material outside it, for example the original files a client sends us, our project records, the working files our AI assistants use, and our archive from the scheduling service we used before. Tell us in your request if you want those deleted too. We handle that under our Policy on Privacy and the client agreement, and our confirmation email says what was and wasn't deleted.

What this does not delete

Deleting information from our tool does not delete anything held by the platforms, including:

  • posts, photos and videos already published on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube or Google Business Profile;
  • anything else stored by Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube or Google under their own policies.

The tool can't take published posts down. To remove them, delete them in the platform's own tools (for example Meta Business Suite, the Instagram app, your LinkedIn Page, YouTube Studio or your Business Profile), or ask us to delete them for you (see item 5 under How to ask).

Remove the tool's access yourself

You can remove the tool's access at any time. The tool can then no longer use the account, and posts scheduled for it will fail. Removing access doesn't delete what the tool already holds: we delete the information we hold for that account within 10 days of the access being removed, unless it is restored, or within 7 calendar days if you also email us.

If our staff connected your account(the usual case), the permission is usually held on our staff member's own platform account, so bellette Social Publisher may not appear in your own settings. Instead, email us, and:

  • Facebook and Instagram: remove bellette's access to your Page in your Meta business portfolio settings, or remove our staff's access to the Page.
  • LinkedIn: a Page super admin can remove our staff's admin roles on the Page.
  • Google Business Profile: remove our staff as managers of your Business Profile. If you tell us to stop, we stop using the Business Profile APIs for your profile straight away and, within 7 business days, remove our staff as managers and make sure you have full control of your profile.
  • YouTube: your email is enough: within 1 business day we delete the tool's access to your channel and, unless the same Google sign-in also connects another account, revoke it with Google. Removing our staff in YouTube Studio (Settings › Permissions) ends only their access in YouTube Studio, because those permissions don't give the tool access.

If you connected an account to the tool yourself(for example, you approved the connection on the platform's permission screen in a session with our staff), you can also remove bellette Social Publisher from your own account:

  • YouTube and Google Business Profile: open your Google Account's security settings at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions and remove access for bellette Social Publisher.
  • Facebook and Instagram: in Facebook, go to Settings & privacy › Settings › Business integrations (or Apps and websites) and remove bellette Social Publisher.
  • LinkedIn: select Me › Settings & Privacy › Data privacy, then under Other applications select Change next to Permitted services, and click Remove next to bellette Social Publisher.
